Hereford House Zona Rosa Location Closes Permanently

Kansas City, MO – The Hereford House restaurant located at Zona Rosa, at the intersection of I-29 and Barry Road, has officially closed its doors for good. Although the business had previously stated it would temporarily close for maintenance, confirmation from the restaurant revealed that the closure is permanent.

A representative from Hereford House explained that the closure was a result of being unable to secure an acceptable lease agreement for the location. The restaurant had operated in the popular shopping area for several years but will no longer be part of the Zona Rosa lineup of eateries.

This closure follows a turbulent year for the chain, with another location, the Overland Park Hereford House, shutting down last year. The Overland Park location closed after an employee was caught deliberately contaminating food by adding his bodily fluids to customers' orders. The incident caused significant damage to the restaurant's reputation and led to the closure of that establishment.

The Hereford House restaurant group has not announced any plans to reopen the Zona Rosa location or if there will be any changes to its other locations in the Kansas City area. Customers are encouraged to visit their remaining open locations for the signature steakhouse experience.
